Hi, my name is Penelope. My mission here in life is to inspire and guide people, like you, to find their way to living a more balanced life.

My own yoga and meditation journey started over 20 years ago and I have slowly been moving forward, finding my way to balance my life.

 

Biography

Penelope is a certified Reiki Master, a Yoga Alliance RYT-500®, E-RYT 200®, YACEP , Vibrational Sound Practitioner and cacao space holder.

Penelope started her spiritual journey after the sudden loss of her boyfriend in 2016. Along with this tragic loss, a complicated emotional journey started, with deep grief, emotional stress and a difficult experience with PTSD after an poorly performed medical operation.

Penelope’s world went upside down for a long time, but after a while, little seeds of light started to grow and a slow journey started towards recovery.

Her first steps were learning to breathe with simple pranayama and this awakened her curiosity, that lead her to her first meditation course, followed by her first yoga course. In the following years, she journeyed to Bali and Thailand for learning and practicing the philosophy of yoga.

When Covid started to roam the world, online yoga courses became much more common and made it easier for her to study and practice yoga, which lead to her taking several other courses. She is now a Yoga Alliance registered RYT500® Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 200®, YACEP.

The summer of 2021, Penelope married her husband Tim and moved to Colorado Springs. Reiki came into her life when a close friend read her astrology chart and discovered that she had energy healing as a part of her natural talent. This didn’t come as a surprise, like it was a deep inner knowledge she had. Reiki did not only open the doors to the spiritual world, but it also opened a personal recovery from reoccurring neuropathic pain in the whole left side from lyme disease.

Penelope’s philosophy is to serve people through the challenges they have in life, and to provide a peaceful experience to help people regain balance in difficult times.


 

When I teach

In my teaching of yoga and meditation there is created space for you, to discover your inner voice and truth, so that you can soften your breath, open and deepen your practice. I teach both yoga and meditation from my heart and I share the wisdom I have learned throughout my own journey, for you to take home.

When I first started yoga…

…it was a challenge for me to “stay” on my own mat. I was constantly looking at what other people were doing, how they looked, what they would wear and it distracted me from focusing on my own practice and what was going on inside me. For years I would flow in and out of my yoga practice, but in troubled times, yoga and meditation would always lead me back to inner peace and balance.

 

 

Gratitude

From my heart, I want to thank my great teachers on my way. I want to thank the people who I randomly bumped into and who changed my life. To my daughter, who is my biggest teacher in life.
